Why Do We Dance? To develop life-long friendships. To learn what it means to be disciplined. To learn to love, respect, challenge, refine, and take care of our bodies. To learn to work well with others. To become proud, supportive, kind, and respectful human beings. To learn to deal with disappointment. To realize that some else's success is not our failure. To learn to make and accomplish goals. To learn that success doesn't come overnight; it takes hours, months, and years of consistent hard work and practice. To relieve stress and anxiety. To spend time in the studio instead of in front of a screen. To develop confidence in our abilities. To find joy through movement and music. We don't dance for trophies. We don't dance for awards. We dance because we have nothing to prove... and everything to share.
